Dima Bilan Winner Eurovision 2008

Just announced yesterday, May 24, was the winner of Eurovision held this year in Belgrade, Serbia. It came as no surprise that the winner was the Russian-Karachay citizen, Dima Bilan. The part of Russia he comes from, Karachay-Cherkessia, was taken over forcibly in 1828 and is in the Moscow time zone of Russia. The inhabitants are of the Islamic persuasion. If we look at his astrological chart, we can see the major reasons for his triumph. Of course, he is classically trained but, when the competition was held in 2006, he only came in 2nd place after the heavy metal band Lordi from Finland (who can understand that?). This year, Jupiter is transiting Capricorn and he is a Capricorn (12/24/81). Secondly, his Moon is in Sagittarius, therefore Jupiter would be in his 2nd (house of wealth) position. In 2006, Jupiter was transiting in his 12th house (House of loss) from his natal Moon. However since I believe he is Libra rising, he had the good fortune to come in 2nd place. Now, I have set his birth hour at 12:30 AM, since that will put Saturn in the Libra ascendant. As my readers know, Saturn in the 1st house brings fame in other countries. He has already travelled to the U.S in 2007 and released one album containing a duet with Canadian_Portuguese pop artist Nelly Furtado. He will be releasing 3 albums this year in English, Russian and Spanish. Although there have been speculations about his sexual orientation, he is supposedly in a deep relationship with model, Elena Kuletskaya. Homosexuality was illegal in Russia up to 1993 and there are no laws against discrimination there. So this may be a front and may also explain his intense effort to become international. He did engage a gay friendly group TaTu in helping him promote his international status. I might also mention that the 2 finalists for American Idols, David Cook and David Archuleta are also December-born natives. Both David Archuleta (12/28) and Dima Bilan (12/24) are Capricorns. David Cook is a Sagittarian (12/20). But foremost in vedic astrology is the Moon position as the final determinant and since David Cook's natal Moon is in Pisces and Dima's in Sagittarius, they were favored by transiting Jupiter.
