My Name is Lisa

I came across a very sensitive youtube film today. Actually it is the 3rd place winner of You Tube Project Direct and produced by Shelton Films. This short film documentary deals with the personal aspect of living with a parent who has Alzheimer's. This dreaded disease is now epidemic and affects millions of lives. Not surprisingly, America has 25% of the victims. I have previously indicated that there is now research indicating that a diet rich in omega 3 fatty acids is necessary to prevent this disease. This can be found abundantly in walnuts, avocados, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Even though it is also found in fish oil, there are reasons why you should avoid that due to the Mercury levels found in fish. So a vegetarian diet would seem to be the best alternative.

Very powerful video, I hope they find a cure for this dreaded disease soon. Your suggestions are quiet valid, we have to take care it from early on, not just in the end.
